University of Notre Dame, Sydney

Medical School

Having recently completed two significant heritage projects in Sydney, the former St Therese's Convent and the Archbishop's Residence in Manly, Equiset was approached to restore and redevelop two Sydney campuses for the University of Notre Dame (UND) in Broadway and Darlinghurst.

Design and construction of the $20 million Darlinghurst campus, School of Medicine and Nursing, has commenced and is due for delivery in February 2008.

The project has two parts. Firstly, the restoration and refurbishment of the existing church as well as the conversion of the school and presbytery into office and lecture rooms. The crypt will house the new library and parish facilities.

The second stage involves the construction of a new 3500m2, seven level building that will serve as both lecture rooms and offices.
